Mercedes GLA 45 AMG (pictured) on video ahead of Detroit deut
What promises to be the best performing car in the compact SUV/Crossover segment – the Mercedes GLA 45 AMG – was officially revealed this week ahead of its debut at the Detroit Auto Show. With the same 355 bhp, 2.0 litre turbo engine as the A 45 and CLA 45 AMG – and with 4WD – the GLA 45 AMG offers stunning performance in a high-riding compact shape that promises to embarrass all but the most extreme performance SUVs on the market. Now, ahead of next week’s debut, Mercedes AMG has released new video of the GLA 45 AMG which does a decent job of highlighting the cosmetic tweaks and purposeful stance the GLA has.
The Agera & Agera R get a raft of tweaks for 2012
Koenigsegg has revealed improvements to the Agera and Agera R for 2012, which will debut at Geneva next week. We’re not sure just how many Koenigsegg Agera R models have actually been built and delivered (or the standard Agera R, for that matter), but however many it is it’s not more than a handful. Still, standing still means going backwards – whether you’ve built a single car or a million – so Christian von Koenigsegg and his men in the snow in a shed in Sweden have been busy putting the Agera and Agera R at the cutting edge for 2012 models.

Jaguar’s new Special Vehicle Operations team has built an F-Type R Coupe to act as a support car for Team Sky on stage 20 of the 2014 Tour De France. The injured Chris Froome, who crashed out of the Tour earlier this month, is hoping to be onboard this weekend as he cheers on the rest of his Sky teammates. By a mile.
